European Photo/Art Tour

For the last half of May in 2011 I will be included on a tour of Paris and the south of France as a photography guide and coach. My 'job' is to assist those on the trip to get more out of their cameras and have more enjoyment creating some photographs they can be proud of, and maybe challenge themselves and their creativity.
The trip is being designed by Special Travel International as a tour to appreciate the visual arts. Hey, it's Paris. How difficult can that be? STICanada  is taking along myself and painter Mark Heine to demonstrate techniques and give some guidance for those who are wanting to cultivate their artistic side.
Mark does rich, wonderful street scenes, saturated in the warm colours so well suited to Paris and the historic towns and French countryside that we will be visiting on the river cruise portion of the trip.

The schedule has us spending most of a week in Paris visiting the most wonderful and romantic city in the world. We will be shown some of the sites you wouldn't want to miss, plus time is scheduled for us to have our own adventures and get lost in the winding back streets of MontMartre. Mark Heine and I will take some time to guide interested groups from the tour to some fascinating corners of the city to assist in cultivating their own visual images.
Then the group will zip to Lyon on the French TGV 'bullet' train where we will board the beautifully appointed river cruise ship MS Swiss Pearl. This ship is part of the AMAWaterways line of spectacular river cruise ships, and it is a truly comfortable way to tour France.
I did a river cruise as a photo guide with STI in 2009 and was totally impressed with the service and comforts and food!!!!!! It's like having your luxury hotel travel with you.
After we board the ship in Lyon, we travel for 6 days and nights on the Saone and Rhone rivers, down through Avignon and Arles. A very luxurious way to enjoy travel through the French Countryside.
This trip is not taking anyone back to school. It  is for the traveller who enjoys fine travel, and all that goes with it, along with the 'value added' theme of exploring their artistic side.
If you're interested in coming along and bringing your camera or paints and pencils, drop me an email or contact STI.
Salut!!
